Retro tram resumes running in Riga on April 30

“Rīgas satiksme” informs that the Retro tram will run from April 30 till September 25 every Saturday, Sunday, as well as on festive days. The tram will run from Ausekļa Street to Mežaparks via Radio circle, and then back to the terminal in Ausekļa Street.

Tickets are sold by the tram driver and are valid until the end of the route. The price of one ticket is EUR 2.00, for children under 7 years of age the trip is for free. The Retro tram is a small tramcar designed in Art Nouveau, which is remarkable in the modern urban environment. The tram can take 30 passengers and has seats for 18 passengers.

The Retro tram not only pleases passengers by running along one of Riga’s most beautiful boulevards, Z. A. Meierovica Boulevard, which offers a wonderful view of Opera, Freedom Monument, Old Riga, Basteja Hill, National Theatre, but also offers the possibility of going to the passenger terminal in Riga port.
